Day 1: Arrive in Casablanca and transfer to your hotel
Upon arrival in Casablanca, you will be met by your driver and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 2: Explore Casablanca and visit the Hassan II Mosque
Start your day with a visit to the Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in Morocco and one of the largest in the world. Take in the grandeur of this impressive structure, and marvel at its intricate details. Afterward, explore the old medina of Casablanca, where you can find traditional Moroccan crafts, spices, and souvenirs. Stop for lunch at one of the many restaurants in the area and sample some of the local cuisine. In the afternoon, take a stroll along the Cornice, a waterfront promenade lined with cafes and restaurants. End your day with a visit to the Habous Quarter, a modern shopping district with plenty of shops and boutiques to explore.
Day 3: Drive to Marrakech and explore the city
Start your day with a drive to Marrakech, the cultural capital of Morocco. Upon arrival, explore the city’s vibrant souks, bustling markets, and narrow alleyways. Take a stroll through the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa square, where you can find street performers, snake charmers, and food stalls. Visit the Koutoubia Mosque and the Saadian Tombs before heading to the Ben Youssef Madrasa, a former Islamic school. In the evening, take a walk through the Medina and explore its many shops and restaurants.
Day 4: Drive to Ouarzazate and visit Ait Ben haddou
Drive to Ouarzazate, a city in the south of Morocco. On the way, you will pass through the stunning Tizi n’Tichka pass, which offers breathtaking views of the Atlas Mountains. Once you arrive in Ouarzazate, you can visit the famous Ait Ben haddou kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This fortified village is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Morocco and is known for its beautiful architecture. After exploring Ait Ben haddou, you can spend the rest of the day exploring Ouarzazate and its surrounding areas.
Day 5: Ait ben haddou – Boumalne – Todra gorges – Merzouga desert
After breakfast, you will leave Ait Ben Haddou and drive to Dades Gorges via Skoura oasis. You will have the opportunity to take some amazing photos of the Kasbahs and the beautiful landscapes. After that, you will continue your journey to Todra Gorges, where you will have lunch and explore the area. In the afternoon, you will drive to Merzouga desert via Tinjdad and Erfoud. Continuation toward Merzouga Sahara desert where you will spend the night in a traditional Berber camp. You will enjoy a camel ride in the desert and watch the sunset over the dunes. After dinner, you will be entertained by local musicians and have the chance to admire the starry sky of the desert.
Day 6: Enjoy a camel ride in the desert and spend the night in a desert camp
Start your Sahara day with a nomadic breakfast and camel ride to reach the Merzouga village and we drive to visit to Khamlia, a small village located in the desert of Merzouga. Here, you will be able to experience the traditional Gnawa music and learn about the culture and customs of the local people, taste a good Berber pizza . Afterward, head to Taouz village, where you can explore the the rocks engraving and learn about the history of this area. End your day with a camel ride through the desert, taking in the stunning views of the sand dunes.
Day 7: Drive back to Marrakech via Draa valley
Getting up early to see the sunrise is often recommended when visiting the desert! The colors and lights at this time of day are often the most spectacular and give the sand dunes and desert environment a unique look.
