8 days from Tangier to desert

Day 1: Arrive in Tangier and explore the city

Welcome to Tangier! Upon arrival, you’ll be met by your private driver and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, you’ll have the rest of the day to explore the city. Start your day with a visit to the Kasbah Museum, located in the old city walls. Here, you’ll learn about the history of Tangier and its many cultures. Then, take a stroll through the winding streets of the medina, where you can shop for souvenirs and sample local delicacies.

Day 2: Tangier – Chefchaouen and explore the blue-washed city

Start your day with a drive to Chefchaouen, a small city in the Rif Mountains of northern Morocco. The city is known for its blue-washed buildings, which give it a unique and picturesque look. Spend the day exploring the city’s winding streets and alleyways, taking in the sights and sounds of this charming town. Visit the Grand Mosque, the Kasbah, and the Plaza Uta el-Hammam, as well as the many shops and restaurants that line the streets. In the evening, take a stroll through the medina and enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner.

Day 3: Chefchaouen to Fes and explore the medina

Travel to Fes, the oldest of Morocco’s imperial cities. Upon arrival, explore the medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the largest car-free urban areas in the world. Wander through the narrow streets and alleyways, taking in the sights and sounds of this ancient city. Visit the famous tanneries, where leather is still dyed using traditional methods, and explore the souks, where you can find everything from spices to carpets. Visit some of the city’s many mosques and madrasas, including the 14th-century Bou Inania Madrasa. After a full day of exploration, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner in one of Fes’ many restaurants.

Day 4: Fes – Azrou – Erfoud – Merzouga

After breakfast, you will depart from Fes and drive to Midelt via Ifrane and Azrou see the monkeys in cedre forest. You will have lunch in Midelt before continuing your journey to Erfoud. Upon arrival in Erfoud, you will visit the fossil factory and then continue to Merzouga.You take a camel ride through the sand dunes of the Erg Chebbi, the largest sand dune in Morocco. The ride will take you to a desert camp where you spend the night under the stars. You also enjoy traditional Berber music and nomadic food, as well as activities such as sandboarding. The experience is sure to be an unforgettable one!

Day 5: Fes to Merzouga Take a camel ride into the desert and spend the night in Berber camp

Excursion in the Merzouga region to experience the beauty of the desert and its vastness. You will also get to experience the traditional Berber hospitality and culture. Visit Gnaoua music in Khamlia village. These Gnaoua usually feature live performances by local Gnaoua musicians and dancers, as well as other traditional forms of music from the region. Visit the Gravures Repestre in Taouz, iT’s a collection of ancient engravings and carvings located in the region of Taouz. Back to Erg Chebbi dunes and enjoy camel ride to reach your camp. Enjoy a traditional dinner and sleep in a Berber tent under the stars.

Day 6: Merzouag to Ouarzazate – Ait ben haddou kasbah

Start your day with a drive to Ouarzazate, trougth the oasis of Tafilat, Todra gorges, Dades gorges, Skoura oasis where you discover the Berber culture and heritage in the south of Morocco. Once you arrive in Ouarzazate, explore the city and its many attractions. Visit the Taourirt Kasbah, the Cinema Museum, and the Atlas Film Studios. continue toward the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Night in the hotel.

Day 7: Ait ben haddou to Marrakech and explore the souks and medina

Vist the famous kasbah Ait ben haddou befour start drive to Marrakech the vibrant city of Morocco. Take a break for lunch at one of the many cafes in the Atlas road. continue toward Marrakech via the hight Atlas mountains. Upon arrival, explore the winding streets of the medina and souks, where you can find a variety of goods from spices to leather goods. Visit Jamaa Fna squere. End your day with dinner and Overnight at your riad.

Day 8: Depart from Marrakech
