2 days Marrakech to Zagora desert
Day 1: Marrakech – Ait ben hddou – Zagora
You will be picked up in the morning and taken on a journey to Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO world heritage site dating back to the 18th century. You will have time to explore and have lunch before continuing to Zagora, where you will ride a camel to see the sunset and spend the night in nomad tents in a nearby oasis. The journey will be in an air-conditioned minibus or 4×4 and will take you across the Tizi n’ Tichka mountain pass with views of Berber villages and the High Atlas Mountains. You will also stop to explore the largest palm grove in the fertile Draa Valley.
Day 2: Zagora – Marrakech
We get up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, followed by a traditional breakfast at the camp. After breakfast, we remount our camels and head back to Zagora, where we meet our driver and vehicle and begin our return journey. We will visit the Tamnougalt Kasbah in Agdz. In Ouarzazate we will visit theTaourirt Kasbah and movies studios. We then continue the final leg of our journey back over the Atlas Mountains to Marrakech, passing through more spectacular scenery, stopping several times for photos, before heading back to your accommodation.
