Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou
The 6 day tour that takes you from Marrakech to the desert will start by picking you up from your hotel, then we will cross the High Atlas mountains passing through breathtaking landscapes and the Berber village that is in the middle of the High Atlas . We will visit an old Kasbah at Pacha Glaoui in Telouite, then we will discover the old caravan route.
We will visit the village of Ait ben haddou which is an enclosure of old houses built in adobe. The ancient Berbers reside in houses built of adobe, covered with walls to defend against attacks from other tribes. These houses are called kasbah and ksour. The kasbah of Ait ben haddou is an example where you can discover the Berber culture. You will enjoy a guided tour through the history of the site which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Night in hotel in the village of Ait Ben Haddou.
Day 2: Aït ben haddou – Agdz – Zagora
We leave for Agdz after exploring the Atlas studios and the Kasbah of Taourirt in Ouarzazate. We will cross the superb panoramas of Ait saoun and Tizi n tnifi, and we will admire the kasbah of Tamnougalt!
It will certainly be an exciting journey!
Then we continue our road to Zagora, to explore the palm grove, and see the sunset in the desert, night in bivouac.
Day 3: Zagora – Tafraout Sidi Ali
We will travel to Tafraout Sidi Ali, through the breathtaking desert landscape, along an old road from the Paris-Dakar rally, to the desert village. We will spend the night in a traditional house.
Day 4: Tafraout sidi Ali – Merzouga desert
After breakfast, our desert safari will take us through the most beautiful sand dunes in Morocco, Ramlia and Ouzina, to Merzouga, the capital of the Sahara Desert, where we will visit the petroglyphs of Taouz and listen to Gnaoua music in Khamlia, Berber lunch and continue our adventure with a camel ride to the dunes of Erg Chebbi, where you can enjoy the sunset and spend the night in a camp under nomadic tents. Day 5: Merzouga Dunes – Todra Gorges – Tinghir – Dades Gorges
Get up early in the morning to watch the sunrise! After breakfast, return by camel to your car in Merzouga and visit the large Tafilarte market in Rissani. We then cross the desert landscapes of Erfoud and Touroug and wait for the spectacular Todra Gorge, a magnificent place surrounded by cliffs over 200m high, where we have lunch. We then continue to Boumalne via Tinghir. Stop to take beautiful pictures of the Dades Gorges. Overnight in a hotel in the Dades Gorges.
Day 6: Dades Gorges – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
Today you will discover the best Kasbah of Skoura. You will then visit the rose products in Kelaa M’Gouna, you will visit the Kasbah Amridil in the oasis of Skoura, and you will go to Ouarzazate. Then take the spectacular High Atlas road to Marrakech. You will be transferred to your accommodation in Marrakech.
