3 days trip from Fes to Merzouga Desert
Day 1: Fes – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz valley – Merzouga
We will start our trip in Fes and head to Azrou, a town located halfway between Fez and Midelt. We will take a break to admire the magot monkeys that live in the cedars of the region. Then we will continue our trip to Midelt, where we can taste typical dishes of the region. We will continue our journey to the Ziz Valley, where we can admire the spectacular landscapes of the region. Finally, we will arrive in Merzouga, where we will spend the night in a Berber camp.
Day 2: visit of Merzouga desert excursion
On the second day of your trip to Merzouga, you will start with a desert Excursion. You will set off on camelback for a ride of about an hour and a half through the sand dunes. You can admire the sunset over the dunes and enjoy the tranquility of the desert. Can also visit a Berber village and discover the local culture. Finally, you can spend the night under the stars, wrapped in blankets and rugs, and enjoy the beauty of the night sky.
Day 3: From Merzouga Back to Fes via Rissani Ziz valley
On the third day, we will leave Merzouga and head towards Fes via Rissani and the Ziz Valley. We will start by visiting the weekly Rissani market, where you can buy local products and souvenirs. Then we will head to the Ziz Valley, where we can admire the spectacular landscapes and Berber villages. We will break for lunch at a local restaurant. Finally, we will arrive in Fes and drop you off at your accommodation.
