Day 1: Fes – Azrou – Erfoud – Erg Chebbi dunes
Start your journey with a pickup from your accommodation in Fes and embark on a journey to Merzouga, the gateway to the Erg Chebbi dunes. Enjoy a scenic drive via Ifrane, a ski resort, and then onward through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Pass through the cedar forests of Azrou, where you can stop to observe Barbary apes in their natural habitat. Continue on to Erfoud, known as the capital of fossils, for lunch and some sightseeing. After lunch, you’ll drive to Merzouga. Once you arrive in Merzouga, you’ll have the chance to take an optional camel ride out into the dunes for an unforgettable sunset experience. Finally, you’ll spend the night in a desert camp, complete with dinner and traditional drums around a campfire.
Day 2: Erg Chebbi dunes – Todra gorges – Dades gorges
After breakfast, you will depart from Erg Chebbi to the Todra Gorges. The Todra Gorges is a spectacular sight, with towering cliffs of rose-colored sandstone that soar 300m high and narrow to a mere 10m wide in some places. You will have time to explore the gorges on foot and take in the breathtaking landscape. Next, you will proceed to the Dades Gorges. Here you will have lunch at a local restaurant and then explore the area around the gorges. You will spend the night in a hotel in the Dades Valley.
Day 3: Dades gorges – Skoura Oasis – Ouarzazate
Start your day in the stunning Dades Valley with a visit to the local Kasbahs and Berber villages. Hike through the valley to admire its unique beauty and capture its breathtaking views. You can also take a drive to the nearby Monkey Fingers Rocks or explore the nearby oasis. Continue your journey to Kelaa Mgouna, nicknamed the Valley of Roses. Explore its narrow streets and small Berber villages, and experience its vibrant culture. You can also visit the local market to buy some fresh roses, spices and other items from the local merchants. Continue driving to Skoura, a charming village known for its palme grove and old fortresses. Spend some time wandering its streets and admiring its traditional architecture. End your day in Ouarzazate. Get settled in your hotel before exploring the city at night.
Day 4: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben haddou – Marrakech
After a breakfast, we will visit the Kasbah Taourirt and the movies Museum. Then, we will drive to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where we will have time to explore the fortified village and its surroundings. We will then have a lunch before continuing our journey to Marrakech. Arrive in the evening and check in to our hotel. We will end our day by enjoying a dinner in one of the local restaurants.
Day 5: Marrakech – Airport drop off
In the morning, you will be dropped off at the airport in time for your flight.
