4 days From Fes to Merzouga adventure
Day 1: Fes – Midelt – Erfoud
We’ll start the day off with a drive from Fes to Midelt, located in the Middle Atlas Mountains. As we make our way, we’ll pass through the cedar forests of Azrou, where you can take the time to explore and spot monkeys. Once in Midelt you enjoy your lunch. Then we’ll continue to Erfoud, located in the Sahara desert region. After arriving in Erfoud, you’ll have the rest of the day to explore the area and take in the sights.
Day 2: Erfoud – Merzouga – Camel Trek
Today we’ll begin our journey towards Merzouga, located in the heart of the desert. After arriving in Merzouga, you’ll have the opportunity to ride a camel and trek through the desert. Along the way, you’ll get to experience the unique beauty of this vast landscape and admire the stunning sunsets. In the evening, you’ll stay overnight in an oasis camp and sleep under a blanket of stars.
Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley
After breakfast, we’ll leave Merzouga and head towards Rissani. This is an important market town in the Sahara region and is known for its spice markets. From there, we’ll continue to Todra Gorge, where you can marvel at its towering cliffs and deep ravines. Afterwards, we’ll drive to Dades Valley, where you can enjoy stunning views of lush palm groves and chiseled rock formations.
Day 4: Dades Valley – Skours – Ait ben haddou – Marrakech
You will have an early departure towards Skoura, you will visit the kasbah of Amridil. Then you will visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, before arriving in Ait Ben Haddou. This fortified village is one of the most beautiful in the region and is registered as a world heritage site by UNESCO. You will have lunch there and you will have free time to visit the village and take some beautiful pictures. Then you will continue your journey to Marrakech, where you will spend the night.
