Day 1: Arrival in Tangier

Welcome to Tangier, Morocco’s northern gateway where Europe meets Africa.

 

Upon arrival, your private driver will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy free time to begin discovering this fascinating city of sea views, artistic heritage, and cosmopolitan charm.

After breakfast, begin a scenic journey along Morocco’s Atlantic coast.

 

Your first stop is Asilah, a charming whitewashed seaside town known for colorful doors, art-filled streets, historic ramparts, and relaxed coastal atmosphere.

 

Continue to Rabat, Morocco’s elegant capital, where you can visit the Hassan Tower, Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the picturesque Kasbah of the Oudayas overlooking the ocean.

 

Later, continue to Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city and modern economic heart.

By late afternoon, arrive in Merzouga at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes. Enjoy a camel trek into the dunes at sunset.

Dinner, Berber music, and overnight stay in a desert camp under the stars.

Wake to the silence of the desert and watch sunrise paint the dunes in shades of gold and amber. Today is dedicated to discovering the Merzouga region and authentic desert culture.

Explore the dunes by 4×4, visit local oases and nomadic communities, and enjoy the warm hospitality of the Sahara. You may also visit Khamlia village to hear traditional Gnawa music.

After breakfast, begin the scenic journey north toward Fes.

Stop in Erfoud, famous for fossils and date palms, then continue through the spectacular Ziz Valley where palm groves stretch across dramatic canyon landscapes.

Travel via Midelt and cedar forests near Azrou, where Barbary macaques are often seen, before passing through Ifrane, known for alpine-style charm.

This is a 100% private tour. You will travel only with your own group and driver/guide.

Yes. You can choose between a standard camp (private tent with shared facilities) or a luxury camp (private tent with en-suite bathroom and shower).

Yes. Both standard and luxury camps provide electricity, usually powered by solar energy or generators during certain hours in the evening and early morning. You can charge your phone and camera in your private tent or in the common area. 

Yes, most desert camps offer Wi-Fi in the common area. However, please note that the connection can be slow or limited due to the remote Sahara location. Mobile network coverage (especially Maroc Telecom) generally works in Merzouga and sometimes near the camp, but signal strength may vary. We encourage guests to enjoy the rare opportunity to disconnect, relax under the stars, and fully experience the magic of the Sahara, but you will still be able to stay in touch if needed.
