Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Erfoud – Merzouga Sahara

Your journey begins with pick-up from your accommodation in Fes. We travel south through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing through Ifrane, known for its alpine-style charm, and Azrou, famous for its cedar forests and Barbary macaques.

Continuing through Midelt and dramatic mountain scenery, we reach Erfoud, known for fossils, marble workshops, and date palm groves.

By late afternoon, we arrive in Merzouga at the edge of the golden Erg Chebbi dunes. Enjoy a camel trek into the desert at sunset before arriving at camp.

Dinner, Berber hospitality, and overnight in a desert camp under the stars.

Wake early to witness a beautiful Sahara sunrise. After breakfast, return by camel (or 4×4) to Merzouga where your driver awaits.

We then continue through Rissani, known for its traditional market, and pass through Erfoud, Touroug, and Tinjdad. Later, visit the spectacular Todra Gorges, where towering limestone cliffs rise dramatically above the valley floor.

After lunch, continue to the scenic Dades Valley, famous for its unusual rock formations, winding roads, and traditional Berber villages.

Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel in the Dades Valley.

After breakfast, we continue along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs toward Skoura, a lush oasis known for palm groves and historic mud-brick architecture. We then visit the iconic Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most famous fortified villages.

After free time for lunch, we cross the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass.

Yes, most desert camps offer Wi-Fi in the common area. However, please note that the connection can be slow or limited due to the remote Sahara location.
