Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech & Guided City Tour

Your 7-day Morocco journey begins in Marrakech.

Meet your local guide and explore some of the city’s most important historic landmarks, including Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, and the exterior of the Koutoubia Mosque.

Continue into the medina, where narrow streets lead through colorful souks filled with spices, textiles, ceramics, and traditional crafts.

Later, experience the atmosphere of Jemaa el-Fnaa as food stalls, musicians, performers, and locals fill the square.

Overnight stay in Marrakech.

After breakfast, leave Marrakech and begin your journey south across the High Atlas Mountains.

The road climbs through mountain landscapes and traditional villages before crossing the Tizi n’Tichka Pass at 2,260 meters.

Continue to Aït Benhaddou, a historic fortified ksar and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore its earthen buildings and narrow pathways before continuing past Ouarzazate and along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs.

Overnight stay in Dades Valley.

After breakfast, travel toward the dramatic Todra Gorges, where towering rock walls rise above the river valley. You’ll have time for a short walk before continuing toward the Sahara.

Pass through Erfoud and Rissani before reaching Merzouga and the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi.

In the late afternoon, set off across the dunes by camel as the sun begins to set. Arrive at your desert camp for dinner, traditional music around the fire, and a night beneath the Sahara sky.

If you prefer not to ride a camel, a 4×4 transfer to the desert camp can be arranged instead.

Overnight stay in the Sahara desert camp in Merzouga (standard and luxury options available).

Wake early if you’d like to watch the sunrise over the dunes before breakfast at camp.

Leave the Sahara behind and travel through the palm-filled Ziz Valley toward the Middle Atlas Mountains.

Continue via Midelt and stop near Azrou, where the cedar forests are known for their Barbary macaques. From there, travel through Ifrane, often nicknamed the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its alpine-style architecture and mountain setting.

Arrive in Fes later in the day. Overnight stay in Fes.

Spend the morning exploring Fes el-Bali, one of Morocco’s most fascinating historic medinas, with a local guide.

Discover its maze of narrow streets and traditional workshops, including the famous Chouara Tanneries, Al-Qarawiyyin, and the exterior of the Royal Palace.

In the afternoon, leave Fes and travel west to Rabat, Morocco’s capital.

Visit some of the city’s best-known landmarks, including the Hassan Tower and the Kasbah of the Udayas overlooking the Atlantic.

Overnight stay in Rabat.

After breakfast, travel south to Casablanca. Visit the iconic Hassan II Mosque, dramatically positioned beside the Atlantic Ocean. Depending on opening hours and your itinerary, the visit may include the interior or exterior of the mosque.

Continue to Marrakech in the afternoon. Enjoy your final evening at leisure.

Overnight stay Marrakech.

Enjoy some free time in Marrakech depending on your flight schedule. Pick up a few final souvenirs, relax at your riad, or spend a little more time exploring the city.

At the appropriate time, we’ll transfer you to Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK) for your departure.
