Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca

Upon arrival in Casablanca, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel.

 

Depending on your arrival time, begin exploring Morocco’s modern economic capital. You may stroll along the Corniche or admire the magnificent Hassan II Mosque from outside.

 

Overnight stay in a hotel.

After breakfast, begin your journey north.

 

First stop is Rabat, Morocco’s elegant capital city. Visit landmarks such as the Hassan Tower, Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of the Oudayas overlooking the Atlantic.

 

Later, continue through the scenic Rif Mountains toward Chefchaouen, Morocco’s famous Blue City.

 

Enjoy your first evening wandering its charming blue lanes and peaceful squares.

 

Overnight stay in a riad/hotel.

Enjoy a relaxed morning to explore Chefchaouen at your own pace.

 

Take photos through blue-painted streets, browse artisan shops, or enjoy coffee in Plaza Uta el-Hammam surrounded by mountain views.

 

In the afternoon, depart for Fes. Arrival in the evening with overnight stay in a traditional riad/hotel.

After breakfast, discover the spiritual and cultural heart of Morocco with a local guide.

Explore the UNESCO-listed medina, famous for maze-like alleys, artisan workshops, tanneries, madrasas, and centuries of living history.

Visit highlights such as the Royal Palace gates, Bou Inania Madrasa, and panoramic viewpoints over the old city.

Overnight stay in Fes.

Today, journey south toward the Sahara Desert.

Travel through Ifrane, known for alpine-style charm, and Azrou’s cedar forests where Barbary macaques are often seen.

After lunch near Midelt, continue through the spectacular Ziz Valley with palm groves and oasis scenery stretching across the horizon.

By late afternoon, arrive in Merzouga at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes. Enjoy a camel trek into the dunes at sunset.

Dinner, Berber music, and an overnight stay in a desert camp.

Wake early to witness sunrise over the Sahara.

After breakfast, enjoy a full day discovering the Merzouga region by 4×4. Visit nomadic families, hidden desert landscapes, and Khamlia village where traditional Gnawa music is performed.

This immersive day offers a deeper connection to desert culture and life beyond the dunes.

Dinner and an overnight stay in the desert camp.

After breakfast, continue west through changing desert landscapes.

Visit Rissani, a traditional market town rich in Saharan heritage, then continue toward the spectacular Todra Gorges, where towering cliffs rise dramatically above the valley floor.

Later, travel to Boumalne Dades, known for dramatic scenery, kasbah villages, and winding mountain roads.

Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel.

After breakfast, travel through the Valley of Roses and Skoura Oasis toward Ouarzazate.

Continue to the legendary Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most iconic fortified villages. Its earthen towers and narrow alleys have served as the backdrop for many international films and series. Enjoy time to explore, take photos, and have lunch overlooking the valley.

We then cross the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, with panoramic views and winding roads through Berber villages. 

Arrival in Marrakech with overnight stay in a riad/hotel.

After breakfast, discover Marrakech with a local guide. Visit Bahia Palace, colorful souks, hidden courtyards, the Koutoubia area, and the lively Jemaa el-Fnaa square.

In the afternoon, depart Marrakech and transfer to Casablanca.

Is this tour private or shared?

This is a 100% private tour. You will travel only with your own group and driver/guide.

Yes. You can choose between a standard camp (private tent with shared facilities) or a luxury camp (private tent with en-suite bathroom and shower).

Yes. Both standard and luxury camps provide electricity, usually powered by solar energy or generators during certain hours in the evening and early morning. You can charge your phone and camera in your private tent or in the common area. 

Yes, most desert camps offer Wi-Fi in the common area. However, please note that the connection can be slow or limited due to the remote Sahara location. Mobile network coverage (especially Maroc Telecom) generally works in Merzouga and sometimes near the camp, but signal strength may vary. We encourage guests to enjoy the rare opportunity to disconnect, relax under the stars, and fully experience the magic of the Sahara, but you will still be able to stay in touch if needed.

Comfortable clothes, sunglasses, sunscreen, scarf for the wind, warm layers for the evening (especially in winter), and comfortable shoes.
