Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca

Upon arrival in Casablanca, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel.

 

Depending on your arrival time, begin exploring Morocco’s modern gateway city. You may stroll the Corniche waterfront or admire the magnificent Hassan II Mosque from outside.

 

Overnight stay in a hotel.

After breakfast, travel north along the Atlantic coast to the charming seaside town of Asilah.

 

Known for its whitewashed walls, colorful murals, peaceful medina, and ocean views, Asilah offers a relaxed and artistic atmosphere unlike anywhere else in Morocco.

 

Enjoy free time to explore the medina, ramparts, and beachside promenade.

Today, continue inland toward the Rif Mountains and the famous Blue City of Chefchaouen.

 

Nestled among green mountain peaks, Chefchaouen is known for its blue-painted streets, artisan shops, and laid-back atmosphere.

Upon arrival, settle into your riad and enjoy free time to begin discovering one of the oldest and most fascinating cities in the Islamic world.

Today, explore the UNESCO-listed medina of Fes with an experienced local guide.

Discover ancient madrasas, artisan workshops, lively souks, hidden courtyards, and the famous leather tanneries. Visit highlights such as the Royal Palace gates and panoramic viewpoints over the old city.

After breakfast, begin the scenic journey south through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Pass through Ifrane, known for alpine-style charm, and Azrou’s cedar forests where Barbary macaques are often seen.

Continue through Midelt before descending into the Sahara region via the spectacular Ziz Valley, famous for palm groves and oasis scenery.

By late afternoon, arrive in Merzouga at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes. Enjoy a camel trek at sunset to your desert camp.

Dinner, Berber music, and an overnight stay in a desert camp beneath the stars.

Wake to the peaceful silence of the Sahara.

Today is dedicated to discovering the Merzouga region and its magical landscapes by 4×4. Visit nomadic communities, hidden desert routes, oasis areas, and Khamlia village for traditional Gnawa music.

This extra day allows you to truly experience the culture and rhythm of the desert.

Dinner and overnight stay in the desert camp.

After breakfast, begin one of Morocco’s most scenic travel days.

Visit Rissani, a traditional market town, then continue to the spectacular Todra Gorges where towering cliffs rise dramatically above the valley floor.

Later, travel through striking landscapes to Boumalne Dades, famous for winding roads, unusual rock formations, and kasbah villages.

Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel.

After breakfast, travel through the Valley of Roses and palm-filled Skoura Oasis toward Ouarzazate.

Continue to the legendary Aït Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most iconic fortified villages and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its earthen towers and narrow alleys have served as the backdrop for many international films and series. Enjoy time to explore, take photos, and have lunch overlooking the valley.

Later, cross the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass.

This is a 100% private tour. You will travel only with your own group and driver/guide.

Yes. You can choose between a standard camp (private tent with shared facilities) or a luxury camp (private tent with en-suite bathroom and shower).

Yes. Both standard and luxury camps provide electricity, usually powered by solar energy or generators during certain hours in the evening and early morning. You can charge your phone and camera in your private tent or in the common area. 

Yes, most desert camps offer Wi-Fi in the common area. However, please note that the connection can be slow or limited due to the remote Sahara location. Mobile network coverage (especially Maroc Telecom) generally works in Merzouga and sometimes near the camp, but signal strength may vary. We encourage guests to enjoy the rare opportunity to disconnect, relax under the stars, and fully experience the magic of the Sahara, but you will still be able to stay in touch if needed.
