Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Sahara

Your journey begins early with pick-up from your accommodation in Fes. Travel south through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing through Ifrane, known for its alpine-style architecture, and Azrou, home to cedar forests where Barbary macaques can often be seen.

Continue through Midelt and changing landscapes before descending into the Sahara region via the spectacular Ziz Valley, filled with palm groves and panoramic viewpoints.

By late afternoon, arrive in Merzouga at the edge of the golden Erg Chebbi dunes. Here, begin one of the highlights of your trip: a camel trek into the desert, where you’ll watch the sun set over the dunes in shades of gold and orange.

At your desert camp, enjoy a traditional dinner, Berber music around the fire, and a peaceful night beneath a sky full of stars.

Overnight stay in a desert camp (standard or luxury options available).

Wake early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Sahara dunes — one of the most memorable moments of your journey.

After breakfast at camp, return by camel (or 4×4) to Merzouga, where your driver awaits. We then begin the journey back to Fes, starting with a stop in Rissani, a traditional market town rich in desert culture and history.

Continue through the spectacular Ziz Valley, where thousands of palm trees stretch across dramatic canyon landscapes, offering some of the most beautiful views in southern Morocco.

After a lunch stop near Midelt, travel back through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing cedar forests and Berber villages along the way.

Arrival in Fes in the evening, with drop-off at your accommodation.
