We cross the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass, enjoying panoramic views and traditional Berber villages along the way. We stop at the historic Telouet Kasbah and travel through the beautiful Ounila Valley, once an important caravan route linking Marrakech to the Sahara.
We then visit the iconic Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most famous fortified villages.
After lunch, we continue to Ouarzazate, where you may visit Atlas Film Studios and Taourirt Kasbah, before heading to the Skoura oasis to discover the beautiful Kasbah Amridil.
Our journey continues through the Valley of Roses and into the scenic Dades Valley.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga Sahara
After breakfast, we continue deeper into southern Morocco.
We stop for panoramic views over the Dades Valley before driving to the spectacular Todra Gorges via Tinghir. Here, towering canyon walls and palm groves create one of Morocco’s most impressive natural sites.
After lunch, we continue through Touroug and Erfoud, known for its fossils and date palm groves.
By afternoon, we arrive in Merzouga at the edge of the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi.
Your camel guide will lead you across the dunes at sunset, one of the highlights of the journey. At camp, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, Berber music around the campfire, and a peaceful night under the stars.
Overnight in a desert camp (standard or luxury options available).
Day 3: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Ifrane – Fes
Wake early to witness a magical sunrise over the Sahara dunes.
After breakfast, return by camel (or 4×4) to Merzouga where your driver awaits. We then begin the scenic journey north toward Fes.
We pass through Rissani to see the Tafilalt market, and Erfoud, before entering the lush Ziz Valley, famous for its palm groves and dramatic landscapes.
After lunch in Midelt, we continue through the cedar forests of Azrou, where wild Barbary macaque monkeys are often seen.

FAQs
Is this tour private or shared?
This is a 100% private tour. You will travel only with your own group and driver/guide.
Is the desert camp comfortable?
Yes. You can choose between a standard camp (private tent with shared facilities) or a luxury camp (private tent with en-suite bathroom and shower).
Are there electricity outlets in the desert camp?
Yes. Both standard and luxury camps provide electricity, usually powered by solar energy or generators during certain hours in the evening and early morning. You can charge your phone and camera in your private tent or in the common area.
Is there Wi-Fi in the desert camp?
Yes, most desert camps offer Wi-Fi in the common area. However, please note that the connection can be slow or limited due to the remote Sahara location. Mobile network coverage (especially Maroc Telecom) generally works in Merzouga and sometimes near the camp, but signal strength may vary. We encourage guests to enjoy the rare opportunity to disconnect, relax under the stars, and fully experience the magic of the Sahara, but you will still be able to stay in touch if needed.
What should I pack for the Sahara Desert?
Comfortable clothes, sunglasses, sunscreen, scarf for the wind, warm layers for the evening (especially in winter), and comfortable shoes.
